Making use of both the house and garage roofs
provided plenty of mounting space for 32 PV panels.




Although located in a dense Oakland
neighborhood, the roof has an abundance of
unshaded solar exposure.



The roof's near-ideal southwest exposure
allows the panels to soak up the sun
well into the late afternoon.
After the installation's completion,
the homeowner watches her utililty meter stop
and begin spinning backwards.
