CCEnergy 2003 Board Member Nominees

Annual CCEnergy Member Meeting and Election

The following nominees are currently running for two openings on the CCEnergy Board of Directors:

Ben Thompson
Oakland, CA

Ben is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz Community Studies program with a minor in Environmental Studies. He worked as a canvasser for Greenpeace during college. He has also worked a local/regional news reporter for a public radio station, making him very knowledgeable about how local governments work. He is currently a business analyst in the informatin technology department of a publishing firm, working in technology and economic analysis.

Candidate Statement:

"I want to contribute my energy to a collaborative effort toward a more sustainable world and I think my skills are a good fit for serving as a director of CCEnergy."


Charles Ehrlich
Davis, CA

"Chas" currently works with Heschong Mahone Group, a building energy consulting firm, where he specializes in energy efficiency for multifamily housing and lighting analysis. Formerly with LBNL's Building Technology Department and the Pacific Energy Center, Chas earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from University of California, Berkeley. He also coordinated the CCEnergy co-sponsored Professional Photovoltaic Installation Workshop in 2002 to install a 10 kW PV system for Muir Commons in Davis, the co-housing residence for which he serves as homeowner assocation president.

Candidate Statement:

"It is important for all of us to contribute to a more sustainable energy future. CCEnergy is certainly making a contribution and I welcome the opportunity to apply my building and energy efficiency experience to the job."
