Job Description - Local Field Representative
CCEnergy Corporation, a solar equipment and services co-op based out of San Rafael California, has an excellent opportunity for Local Sales Representatives in many areas throughout California. The Local Field Representative is an independent contractor position.
Preferred background
- Experience selling, designing or manufacturing renewable energy equipment
- Experience in construction desk or field work
- Experience in field sales
- Participant in environmental advocacy and/or local community interest groups
- Proficient user of Word, Excel, AutoCAD and ACT! software
- College degree and/or building trade license
- Working knowledge of renewable energy equipment, manufacturers, prices and renewable energy installation success factors, the business interests of
electrical/roofing/building contractors and the procedures of local permit
offices.
Field Representative Duties
- Generate, develop, and pursue customer leads through individual networking, member-customer referrals, and active participation in CCEnergy marketing efforts including fairs, tradeshows, conferences, and other events.
- Qualify individual customers
- Pre-qualify and work with local contractors.
- Assess customer installation sites including, size of solar window, condition of roof and current energy usage. (Note site visits usually require that the Field Representative climb on the roof.)
- Assemble post-visit energy proposals spreadsheets, AutoCAD drawings
- Present financing alternatives to the member.
- Present the system package to the member.
- Collect deposits and final payments from members.
- Facilitate all paperwork involved with local permit processing, California Energy Commission rebate, and utility interconnection agreement.
- Oversee final quality inspection of member installation.
- Distribute and collect member quality survey.
- Select appropriate advertising media for local office promotion.
- Maintain regular contact with CCEnergy home office.
- Lead Co-op efforts to provide the community's renewable energy needs
- Attend to local community groups with an interest in promoting
- Host member meetings and instructional seminars for the general public.
- Represent the co-op at community meetings, professional association gatherings and other local events where the clean renewable energy is a relevant topic.
- Use CCEnergy marketing materials for lead generation, follow-up mailings, and group presentations.
